HOW TO USE SPHERE MOLDS

Keeping pace with our other two-part sphere molds, this large 5¾˝ diameter sphere mold is designed for showpieces. This mold is made entirely of silicone, it can be banded together to make a full sphere or used open-face to create beautiful hemispheres. If you have our 4" spheres and always wanted something a bit larger, this is what you have been waiting for!

Remember, when filling a large mold with hot sugar– this mold will require 2440 grams to fill – you must have the mold banded together very tightly to keep the parts from separating due to the liquid sugar's pressure. For that purpose, we have included wide rubber bands with the mold.

Helpful Hints: 1.) After banding the two mold parts together before filling, use your mouth to blow a small amount of air pressure into the empty mold. The pressure will force the two mold halves outwards, which will make sure that they are correctly aligned.
2.)This mold holds 2440 grams of sugar. The large volume of sugar in this mold will retain its heat due to the insulating properties of the silicone. To avoid having the sugar continue to boil after being poured into the mold, pour it as cool as possible.

Safety Hint: It is critical for the mold to be tightly banded together to prevent the parts from accidentally separating during use. Use the wide rubber bands included.

Made of food contact silicone. Wash before use. Do not heat above 300° F/ 148° C. Handmade in the USA.
